Good hygiene disappeared when civilization did. A toiletries kit contains miscellaneous hygiene items such as a comb and toothbrush, as well as consumables such as soap and shampoo. With a half-hour’s effort and the use of a toiletries kit, a character can clean up, gaining a +2 circumstance bonus on all Diplomacy checks for the next 12 hours. A toiletries kit can be used five times before it runs out of supplies.
